For week 10 of Speed Week Sentences, the students were supposed to write a sentence using the word "ran". They were then asked to revise their sentence by changing "ran" to a more descriptive word and by adding two adverbs/adjectives. After editing their sentences for capitalization, punctuation, and spelling, we voted for our top 3 sentences to be published. Here are our winners:
Emerson scurried 999 999 999 laps around the moons of Jupiter, but he couldn't finish the next lap. - by Emerson
Mr. Crunchy Potato Chip dashed past Mrs. Salt and Vinegar. - by Emily
I ran away from the terrifying Kool-aid man formally known as the even more terrifying Lucas. - by Liya
