For week 13 of Speed Week Sentences, the students were supposed to write a sentence using the word "smart". They were then asked to revise their sentence by changing "smart" to a more descriptive word and by adding two adverbs/adjectives. After editing their sentences for capitalization, punctuation, and spelling, we voted for our top 3 sentences to be published. Here are our winners:
The boy was wise because he ate flamingos for breakfast. - by Nolan
I was so smart when I decided to go down a steep, fast slide backwards. - by Taylor
Why be brilliant all the time when you can be dumb all the time? - by Bryn
I'm not very clever at 2:22 when sleep walking while sleeping. - by Macklin
