Speed Week Sentences - Week 16

Speed Week Sentences have evolved.  We are now given the task of writing a sentence for a given Far Side comic.  Then, when revising, we are to write a second sentence, join it to the first with a conjunction word, and add adjectives and adverbs to improve our sentence.  Here are the results from our first attempt at this.

"This is a rocket, but it sucks." - Lanny

"I have created a rocket, but it does not look like the picture!" - Morgan

"Why does our rocket look so weird, and why is it crooked?" - Keegan

Speed Week Sentences - Week 15

This is the last week that we will be doing SWS in this format. Next week the students will be given a comic picture and will have to write a caption for it. This week, they were expected to use the word "said" and then change it to a more descriptive word.

Speed Week Sentences - Week 14

For our first SWS of the New Year, students had to use the word "laughed" in their sentence. After revising, they were to have a more descriptive alternate for "laughed" and some added adjectives/adverbs. Here are this week's top vote-getters.
